Multi-location bulk inventory for Shopify — one pool per warehouse

Single-warehouse inventory math is simple: one pool, one truth. Add a second warehouse and the simple version starts lying to you.

Say you stock envelopes in Texas (8,000 units) and Florida (2,000). Shopify happily shows "10,000 available." Then Florida's regional orders drain its 2,000 while Texas sits full — and Shopify still shows thousands available. Florida customers keep ordering, their orders route to a warehouse with nothing on the shelf, and your ops team discovers the problem via angry emails.

The total was never the truth. Location-level counts are the truth.

What per-location pools change

BulkFlow's multi-location support (BF+ plan) gives every bulk item a separate pool per warehouse, aligned 1:1 with your Shopify locations:

• Orders deduct at the right warehouse. When Shopify routes an order to Florida, BulkFlow deducts Florida's pool — not a blended total. Routing decisions come straight from Shopify's fulfillment-order assignments.
• Low-stock alerts are per-location. "Florida is below 500" instead of a global number that Texas's surplus hides.
• Physical counts are per-location. Walk Florida's aisles with a scanner; Texas's counts don't move.
• Availability reflects reality. Each location's pack availability computes from that location's pool.

Transfers: the paper trail between warehouses

Moving 3,000 units from Texas to Florida used to be a sticky note. With BulkFlow transfers:

3. The movement log records who, what, when, and why on both sides
